Estimates and Fees | A Typical Project | The Design Process | Philosophy ESTIMATES & FEES Estimates for construction projects are site specific and project specific. The price range for pond work begins in the mid four figures and moves upwards. Estimates are contained in lump sum contracts which reflect the level of detail provided by the client, the clientís design team and/or Mr. Pond. Estimates are drawn up after site inspections which are done at no charge within an hour driving radius of San Francisco provided that the client has a design drawing capable of acting as a contract document. If no design details (by drawing) are available and an initial site visit is requested, that site visit is treated as a consultation (billed at $80/hr. For the first hour or any part thereof and $60/hr. on a pro rated basis after the first hour). For a minimum design fee of $300 (which covers up to 5 hours of design time), we will provide with the contract a not-to-scale conceptual drawing of the pond and its relationship to the surrounding garden environment. Should additional design time be necessary, the fee is pro rated at $60/hour. Bill is available to architects and contractors for consultations; please contact us for the charge for your specific area and project.
